Juan Vallarino has almost 40 years of experience in the health care industry. He has held key management roles in various sectors of the industry: physician practice management, institutional providers, and health insurance companies in additional to his own consulting practice.
He is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of MyLaurel Health. A provider of mobile integrated health services in the home focused on the frail and elderly.
Juan also serves as board director for Trumpet Behavioral Health, an autism care clinic provider; Newport Healthcare, a residential behavioral health program servicing teen and young adults; The Grameen Foundation, a globally renowned organization focused on empowering the poor, especially women, to create a world without poverty and hunger; and Genesis Healthcare, a provider of short-term post-acute, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and long-term care services.
Through his consulting company, he serves as a strategic advisor to several companies around payor and regulatory strategies.
Previously Juan served as the Chief Executive Officer and board director of myNEXUS, a leader in post-acute care management. Under his leadership, myNEXUS doubled its size, managing the care of over 2 million members in 24 states. Leading to a successful sale of company to Anthem Inc in April 2022.
Juan spent 23 years at HCA, retiring in 2016. Most recently he served as Senior Vice President of Employer and Payer Engagement with responsibility for over $30 billion dollars in net revenues. Juan earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.
